1   Dirty Deeds                    Owner: Aer Stables                       Ortiz I Jr              

Broke her Maiden at 6 furlongs at SAR in August.  Since then her owner has tried to stretch her out to a mile.  She finished fifth in The Frizette Grade I.  Her last race was at LA where she faced State Breds in an Optional Claimer for $20.00 Non Winners of 2 races.  She was able to pull off a win there.  Shortens back up, and is trying to look for her third win, and her first stakes win.  Looks like there are better in here.

2   Panther Prowl                Owner: Downwind Stables          Desormeaux K J                         

Just finished second against ON Breds in the ONT Lassie Stakes at 1 1/16 mile on the dirt course.  She has been racing against Grade II and Grade III company, with her best finish being second in the Pocahontas Grade II at CD.  Shortening back up to six furlongs which she has not run since her Allowance win in July.  Could prove to be sharp here.

3   Patisserie                     Owner: Blushing Meadows                  Ortiz J L      

Just won an Allowance for Non Winners of 1 race here at AQU in December.  Her last two stakes efforts have both resulted in a third place finish.  What I like about this filly is she has a recent trip over the track, which could help improve her chances.  Look for her to improve off her last race here today.

4   Checks In The Mail             Owner: jackrussell farms                   Trujillo E

Broke her Maiden in September at second asking in the Sorority Stakes at 6 furlongs on the dirt at MTH.  She went on to run in the Grade II The Matron, where she finished third which that race was at 6 furlongs.  Her owner then tried to stretch her out to a mile on the dirt course in the Tempted Grade III where she was never a factor to finish seventh.  Brought her to FG where she ran in a mid level Allowance and finished third.  I expect she will perform second off the return distance, and looks well prepared here.

5   Imposing Husker            Owner: Threshold                         Carmouche K

Was sold by Hawthornehoresefarm for $50.00 preraced.  Debuted at MNR in July where she won by six lengths for owner Australia Wide.  Australia Wide unloads her for $5.14 in the December Auction and new owner Threshold tries her sophomore run in today’s stakes race.  A true tough call how she will do on her second try out.

6   Wha Two Si                Owner: Canadian Racing                  Velasquez C H

Debuted at MNR in September where she finished second.  Her next start would come about 5 weeks later at PEN going 6 furlongs.  She got out of the gate to be second, and in the final furlong went on to win by 3 lengths.  Should improve off this last win, but don’t know if she is good enough to compete here.
