Dogs Silver Stacker Wins Despite HRP Comedy Odds

SSM Turf
1 1/16 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up Foaled In FL,MD,NY,PA.

1st Dogs Silver Stacker, Jospeh Racing
The most suprising thing about this win was not the result but the huge starting odds of 30-1
for this winner. Beyond that slliness the $60.000 auction buy had little trouble from a much better
draw running up to his third in the Commonwealth Turf. Breaking into a close midpack he was never
far off the pace quickening willingly to win by just under a length. Much improved from being the
claimer he was just 6 months ago a graded stakes win looks on his radar.

2nd Red Zebell, trained by Pan Farms
Taken back to trail the field he flew late to be a very good second carrying the 2 Lb penalty. The
change of tactics may or may not have been some help here as he is normally up on the pace in his
races but i figure the result would have been the same had he been on the pace as he had been in
the past. This was a decent effort under the penalty though and i am sure he will be paying the
bills this year.

3rd Come Out Firing, trained by Mb Stables
The lightly raced four year old held a good position throughout and kept on well enough for third.
This was his first run for a while and at only 15.2HH i imagine there is plenty of improvement
in him.

4th Haint, trained by Nakamura Stables
The old timer ran his usual honest race plugging on for fourth. He looks a lot better than the
fourteen dollar claimer he was at the end of last year but may find himself back in that grade
after being unable to quicken past these today.

5th Commercial Grade
Never better than mid division he wasnt beaten far but clearly wasnt happy carrying the penalty.

6th Heart Pocket Jeans
Led a was going nicely for much of the race but became the target in the stretch and could not
maintain the gallop. Only beaten three lengths it wasnt a bad effort.

7th Yes It True
Never really got involved.

8th Big Bird
Ran the stalk but faded badly suggesting he will be back in sprints next time up.

9th A Fighter
Last throughout he made up a little ground but was never a factor.
