Moonlight Cloud Finds a Silver Lining

SSM F/M Turf
1 1/16 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up Foaled In FL,MD,NY,PA.

1st Moonlight Cloud, trained by Alydar Stables
There were signs this former BC Juvenile third and Natalma winner was coming back to her best and she took another big
step forwards today as she battled bravely to get home by a head. Race penalties favoured her today but she still had
to win and it was pleasing to see her battling gamely against some very good fillies. This win was a big pat on the back
for her trainer who has shown remarkable patience with this filly and may well reap more benefits this season.

2nd Ubet Sheza Queen, trained by Ubetracing.com
Came clear with the eventual winner being beaten a head into second for the third time in a row. This was a brave effort
especially as she had a 2 Lb penalty to carry and i feel that there is a good win left in this filly.

3rd Aurea Vesperum, trained by Big Guns Stables
Kept on well enough after slipping back in the field early on and ran a creditable race with a huge 130Lbs on her back.
Keep your eye on this filly when she gets a better racing wieght.

4th Sleleton Spy, trained by Chili King Stables
Set off in the lead but was always going to struggle on this race engine to stay in front even though the pace was no
better than average.

5th Southern Atheno
Kept on from the trail to be fifth but was never closer.

6th Princess Mandy
Was close enough but just not good enough against this nice field.

7th Short Dog
It was a sad sight to see this formerly brilliant mare trail in last today. Hopefully she will find a great career in
the shed now and we will be seeing one of her sons or daughters flying home late in the future.
