Dialing Shows The Way

She bounced back, that’s for sure…  showing good speed throughout Saturday’s Bessarabian Stakes (GII) at WO, Angelos Stable’s Dialing took over into the lane and held off all challenges to take the seven furlong sprint by a length in a final time of 1:21.32 on the fast WO main track.  Stable-mate Five Star Queen came from far back but was never a threat to the winner, taking the minor placing photo by a head over 99/1 shot Foregone Conclusion, with the same distance back to One Awesome Night in fourth.  Post time favorite Free Farley Party flashed early speed but tired and finished last in the field of seven. 

Dialing is a 3yo gray filly by Canding – Dalitierri Girl, by Dalitierri, and she was bred by Our Athletes in NY.  Anglelos Stable acquired the filly via hostile takeover at the $37.500 level back in June and this is her second stakes win since the change of barns.  She now has five wins from eleven starts, this being her first graded victory, and she has lifetime earnings of $295.080.   Congrats to the connections!

Dialing raced just in behind the pace securing a rail position, continued to save ground into the lane, moved past the pace from the rail, kicked clear.  Five Star Queen rated back, continued to show little to the top of the lane, responded when asked, best effort too late.  Foregone Conclusion forwardly placed, moved up to engage pace at the top of the lane, evenly from there.  One Awesome Night trailed, passed tiring rivals late.  Roo was never involved.  Take On Me sent from the gate to open a comfortable lead to the top of the lane, nothing left, tired.  Free Farley Party mid-pack to the top of the lane, fanned out for the drive, tied.
