Trailing the six-horse field through fractions of :22.84 and :45.93, Sexy Back showed-off an impressive turn of foot as he ran by all five of his rivals in the $150.000 7f Thunder Rumble for NY-breds at AQU.  

With a quarter-mile to go, Sexy Back had one horse in his rear-view; however, using a powerful run on the outside of the field, he soon ran by them all.  Drawing away from Fire And Rain through the latter stages, Sexy Back completed his final eighth in just :11.96 and was able to post a time of 1:21.35, just missing the stakes record.  Fire And Rain was a length and a half back in second and was followed home by The Bounder, Triomphe, Triple Cocked, and Local Dude.

Sexy Back improved his race record to 26-4-3-5 for earnings of $419.200.  Congratulations to the horse and Night Rider Stables for Sunday’s victory in the $150.000 Thunder Rumble at AQU.
