CD Race #7 $200.000 11/8 Dirt
4+ 122 Lbs (Plus Penalties)
Track Record-1:46.40 (Jesse James-2012)
Stakes Record-1:47.36 (Crack Dab-2022)
Crack Dab looked like a standout on paper in Saturday’s $200.000 The Blame at CD. When the gates sprang and the field commenced their 9-furlong journey around the CD main track, Crack Dab went straight to the front and put the race to bed. Cruising through fractions of :47.03, 1:10.42, and 1:34.62 before crossing the wire almost two-lengths in front in a new stake’s record time of 1:47.36, Crack Dab never gave his four rivals a chance.
The Blame was the first win on the season for the 5yo gelding from the barn of Gdp Inc, and the victory ups his bankroll to $1,739.140 with 11-wins from 41-starts. The step down to non-graded company was just the tonic for Crack Dab and, with the confidence-booster in hand, he should be double tough wherever he turns up next.
Completing the exacta was Hard To Forgive, and Pookie just got by Charley Buzz to round out the trifecta. Shilin Stone Forest completed the order of finish.
Congratulations to Crack Dab and Gdp Inc for their victory in the 3rd running of The Blame at CD!
