  11  CD  Wise Dan (GII)

The big races keep coming and so do the dead-heats… this time, it was the Wise Dan (GII) where Raj The Magician and Express Majestic ended on even terms and couldn’t be separated according to the poor camera work here at HRP.  It was three lengths back to Lets Do It Big Boy in third and another length to Quick Response getting the minor money.  The final running time was 1:44¹ for the mile and a sixteenth on the soft CD lawn. 

Raj The Magician is a 5yo chestnut gelding by Z Jinxed One – Casandra, by Condottieri, and he was bred in Ky by Night Rider Stables.  Acquired by Wood Duck Stables, tagged from a $25.000 race in May of 2020, this was his ninth win from twenty-one starts and he now has $498.700 in earnings. 

Express Majestic is a 4yo bay gelded son of Magestical – Christine, by Joba Expressions, and he was bred by Shermfirm Stables in Tex.  He was aquired by John Henry via private purchase for $75.000 just two races back.  This was his seventh win from sixteen starts and he now has earkings of $300.880.

Raj The Magician on or contested the pace to the top of the lane, drifted out for the drive, clear in the lane, nailed late to end on even terms with foe.  Express Majestic off a step slow while racing well off of the pace, began to advance into the far turn, moving widest of all for the drive, closed determinedly to end on even terms with foe for the win.  Lets Do It Big Boy contested the pace, evenly late while no threat to the top pair.  Quick Response tracked pace, nothing left for the drive.  King Of Swords was not a factor.  Jakarta mid-pack saving ground to the far turn, tired.
