  2  WO   Trillium Stakes (GIII)

With the late scratch of Anivia, we went to post in the Trillium Stakes (GIII) with a three horse field… yet, it was still a competitive race as The Sidley Stud took first and second… Pink Attack going wire to wire to win by a length in a final time of 1:41² for the mile and a sixteenth on the main track.  Stable-mate Techno Slayer nosed out Mb Stables’ Verve for the place. 

Pink Attack is a 5yo bay mare by Pink Panther – Hear Attack, by Die Laffin, and she was bred in Cal by LionKing Stables.  The Sidley Stud acquired this mare via private purchase back in Jan of last season and she now has eight wins from twenty-three starts, seven of those wins for this barn, and she shows lifetime earnings of $392.750.  Congrats to the Connections!

Pink Attack broke quickly, opened a lead only a few strides from the gate, continued to set the pace throughout, never challenged.  Techno Slayer trailed, moved forward in the lane engaging foe in the last 150-yards, up for the place on the wire.  Verve tracked the pace, flattened out in the lane, caught late to miss the place.
