When it came to handicapping at WO this weekend, I wasn’t very good… but looking looking at the tote payouts in the Bold Venture Stakes (GIII), I was in the majority.  Don Dada was claimed by Night RiderStables two back and both starts for the new owner have been winning ones as the 4yo gelding made a big move on the far turn and went on to win the Bold Venture Stakes by a length, stopping the clock in 1:15 flat for the six and a half furlongs.  The main track was listed as fast, and so was the winner.  When Your Strange contributed to a big weekend for Maxmillion Farm as the 6yo also came from off of the pace to grab the second spot, necks separating all of the minor placings.  Tko was third with Freddo Cappuccino fourth, both at 12/1 odds.  Six lengths covered the field of ten.

Don Dada is a 4yo bay gelded son of Great Creep – El Gran Twist, by El Gran Senor, and he was bred in NM by John Henry.  As mentioned, he was claimed by current owner, Night Rider Stables for $20.000 and he’s won both starts for the owner.  He now has five lifetime wins from seventeen starts and shows earnings of $258.720.  Congrats to the Connections!

Don Dada off a step slow, rushed up along the rail to race mid-pack to the top of the lane, split horses just inside the furlong marker, all out to win driving.  When Your Strange raced midpack 2p, fanning 5p into the lane, lost momentum at the furlong marker with no racing room, moved wider and closed a late gap.  Tko well back fanning wide into the lane, closed ful of run in a good effort.  Freddo Cappuccino tracked the pace to the lane, took the lead to the sixteenth pole, headed, out-kicked late.  What A Laff trailed into the lane, began to mount a charge, blocked at the furlong pole, flattened out.  First Down Dash alert start, tracked the pace to midway on the far turn, had lead into the lane, tired.  Ginger Clean sharp start, set the pace to midway on the turn, tired.  Kontrolleren pressed the pace to the far turn, tired.  Admiral Bailey wide trip, never a threat.  Hang Around off a step slow, rushed up on the backside, used up,
