As a bit of fun i decided to present the Stuey’s this year to celebrate the players that were successful at the 2022 Breeders Cup. The Stuey’s are of course totally worthless and will result in nothing more than a chance to brag, but nevertheless I hope you take pride in your imaginary award.
As the horses take centre stage, I would like to start off with those players that managed their first ever BC win:
Allinthegate
Lazy Eye
Maxmillion Farms
SCCJ Stables
South Shore Stables
Wood Duck Stables
A total of seven races were won by first time BC winners which is great to see.
The players that managed to take home the most money finally,:
1st Mb Stables $6880
2nd TwinTowersRacing $3240
3rd South Shore Racing $2400
4th Smokey Stover $2200
And finally, the most prestigious Stuey award:
The players who took the most wins this year were:
1st Maxmillion Farms with 2 wins from 8 starters
2nd TwinTowersRacing with 2 wins from 9 starters
3rd Mb Stables with 2 wins from 37 starters
4th = Sccj with 1 win from 1 starter
4th = Lazy Eye with 1 win from 1 starter
4th = Allinthegate with 1 win from 1 starter
There were 27 different stables this year that took home a pay cheque out of the 54 that took part, a wonderful celebration of the game we all love.
Congratulations to all those that took part in this wonderful day’s racing, you have my sympathy if your horse got spiny legs and my congratulations if you took home more than you went with.
See you in 2023 for the next installment of the Stueys, probably the most pointless award at HRP, next to the year’s top jockey that is 🙂
Until next year, Goodbye, good luck and plain sailing.
