Friday Thirteenth your favorite broke nicely just off the pacesetter to be third in the early going behind a :23 1/5 opening quarter. By the half mile that went in :46 4/5 a :23 3/5 quarter he was second by a length. Into the far turn he hit the ¾ of a mile marker in second by a neck and that quarter went in :23 1/5 and he rallied home to win by ¾ which gives him his third consecutive win. He earned $180.000 for his win and covered the course in 1:39.45.
Show Ya Oysters was a nice longshot at almost 15 to 1 odds that was able to give the public some value. Out of the gate he broke a little slow compared to his running style last time out. He has proven he can win from off the pace, and tried to do that today. He came rushing up at the end but ran out of ground to go on to finish second for owner Mm Racing earning $60.000 for today’s run.
Valiant Charge broke away mid pack here, and really wasn’t able to capitalize off that move to go on to finish third for owner Threshold earning him $48.000 for the run.
Thats The Truth showed early speed out of the gate to be second by a length. After the opening quarter he went on to be fourth, and really never found another gear to go on to finish fourth for owner TwinTowersRacing and earning $12.000 for the run.
Broomsticks Wiggy broke out last of them all, and spotted the field up to 6 lengths. I’m not sure he every really recovered from that. He made a small rally in the end that would earn him fifth for owner Drabfantasy.
Eastern Townships broke out on top, and set the early fractions to be :23 1/5, then :46 4/5, and 1:10 flat for ¾ of a mile. When he arrived and got set for the final drive, he tired and went on to finish sixth for owner Chili King Stables. He was sold 3 days later for $225.00 to Harrell Racing.
Pink Flag has had two disappointing trips for his new connections after being purchased for $333.77. He got away to be fifth, and would soon find himself not keeping up to go on to finish seventh for owner Century Acres Farm.
Xmas Grey really never got into this race. Out of the gate he was sixth, and then seventh by the ¾ of a mile. He would go on to finish eighth for owner Blushing Meadows.
Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
