Well, this grand sort has been dominating the State bred scene at NM for a while now, so it was fitting that it was he that claimed the NM Derby and continued his dominance. Settling into third just behind the leading pair he was always going well and won with plenty in hand by two lengths. This colt has already achieved so much, but I really feel if he was to step out of this company there could be a graded stakes in his resume.

Surprisingly installed as favorite by the odds monkeys, he did pretty well considering he had only just won his maiden but was easily brushed aside by the winner when the pressure came on. A good effort, I expect him to be competitive in these types of races going forward.
