GP Graded Stakes

 The saying in horse racing goes, “The pace makes the race.”. Isn’t that what we say in the world of horse racing? You bet your bottom dollar.

     It’s always exciting to witness the start of a horse race, like the Davona Dale Stakes where Purple Charger showed off its impressive skills by breaking well.

    However, Be Yourself was a bit slow to start but quickly caught up to Purple Charger in the first turn.

   The pace was quite fast, with the half-mile being completed in a brisk 22’4 and  46’2 first half with three quarters in 1:10’n change.

     As the field lurked in the distance, the jockeys knew the pace was quick, and someone off the pace would pick up the pieces.

    Rounding the far turn into the stretch, Purple Charger charged to the front.  Be Yourself started to fade, and the preying Nazca Lines was rolling hard.

    The Jockey, Patrick Husbands guided Nazca Lines to the finish…in front! The second place was held by Purple Charger. Beach Towel ran by Be Yourself and finished third. With Be Yourself hanging on for fourth.
