The results for graded races on 12/27/2025.

6  GP  The Mr. Prospector (GIII)

$150.000    3yo&Up   7f   Dirt      3yo 120lbs  Older 123lbs  +penalties

I think the Green Card and I should have stopped pickin’ horses after having a good day on Friday… swing and a miss here as post time favorite Special Event takes The Mr. Prospector (GIII) by the slimmest of margins, handing Nakamura Stables the sixth win of the season for this 5yo gelding.  He stopped the clock at 1:21.18 while landing his second consecutive stakes score.

A heart-breaking second for Night Rider Stables’ Bonus Baby, dispatched at 36/1 odds… after setting a clear lead thru much of this seven furlong extended sprint, he just couldn’t last to the wire and gave the barn another runner-up effort.  It was another quarter length to Honour The Lord in third, and Super Powers was three-quarters of a length back in fourth.

$2 Mutuel Prices:

6 – Special Event 5.60 3.50 2.80

  11 SA   Hernandez Stakes (GII)

$200.000   3yo&Up   6 1/2f  Turf     3yo 122lbs  Older 124lbs

The choices here left a lot to be desired, but when the 2/1 favorite runs last… the rest speaks for itself.  A minor upset in Saturday’s Hernandez Stakes (GII) as Little Tiger gets the job done for Temulac Farm, stalking the pace throughout the six and a half furlong, downhill, sprint… but the 7yo gelding showed that he’s not ready for HRP Old Friends, just yet.  Although he’d never won on a wet track, he had never been off the board… using that fondness to his advantage, he got home in 1:15.83, winning by three quarters of a length while handing this barn their first graded stakes win… CONGRATS!!

High Voltage takes the second and third spots as Kidding, dismissed at 14/1 odds, out-gamed his stable mate, Moonlightonthewabash, as we had a three horse photo for the minor placings.  It was a nose back to Spankys Barn’s Mosquito in fourth.  Five lengths covered the field of nine.

$2 Mutuel Prices:

6 – Little Tiger 10.70 5.90 3.70
4 – Kidding   12.30 6.10
