Nine Evenly Matched Gents in Razorback at OP

2/28/26

1  OP    The Razorback Hcp (GIII)

$500.000    1 1/16th Mile  Dirt   4yo&Up        Hcp Weights

Down to the “hairpin” and the wonderful ride over the hill to OP for a big one, The Razorback Hcp (GIII), a mile and a sixteenth test for the older handicap males.  The weights indicate my thinking, I don’t see a real stand-out in this group and will not be surprised by any outcome.

I’m going to look at Edward The Good as the top choice today.  He was fourth on BC Day in the sprint, and closed well to run second vs. Alw types at HOU… it’s interesting that the Big Barn wants to see if this one can be a two turn monster after being a VERY solid sprinter.  I’m not going to question his thoughts, so look for a big run here.

Let’s go right next door and give Burger King a big chance to be a whopper in this one.  Two wins last year, but he was very competitive in both the Travers (GI) and the Goodwood (GI) racing vs. some very good horseflesh.  He was second in his season debut at FG vs. graded types, so let’s look for him to keep his solid form and be a big run in this one.

The Green Card sees it slightly different, but, again… anything could happen in this one.
