Extreme Jet Outlasts Fawkes in Thrilling Stretch Dual at FG

FG Classic Purse $500.000 For Four Year Olds And Upward

1 1/8 on Dirt Grade 2
Fair Grounds Race Course, New Orleans, LA

Extreme Jet from Mb Stables outlasted Fawkes from Delta Farms in a thrilling stretch drive Saturday at The Fair Grounds in The FG Classic. With only a six-pack lined up in the gate, the racing Gods were generous and a fantastic dual developed as the horses roared down the New Orleans stretch. Congrats to the winning connections over at Mb Stables and to the runner up and his connections at Delta Farms. Wild Card Weekend from Night Rider Stables added to his ever-evolving storybook by running third here which is really saying something for a horse claimed in September last year for six thousand dollars. Energizer Party from Robeth did well to run fourth and looks to be coming back to hand now. He will probably be the choice in his next start if it is back at a more reasonable level.

Of the rest:

All Take from Alydar Stables took a lot of action at the windows late, but just kind of circled the oval in a non-descript effort. He did appear to hit high gear around the far turn but then could not keep it going.

Without Warning from TwinTowersRacing ran like a tired racehorse today, even though he was coming into this on a good pattern. Nothing noted on the vets list, so possibly just not his day today.
