Total and Complete Domination by Mb Stables in FG Oaks 1-2-3 Finish

Fair Grounds Oaks G2

1 1/16th on Dirt 3 year old fillies

Fair Grounds Race Course, New Orleans, LA

Throw out the form and just bet the barn. If those were your tactics Saturday and you’re a fan of Mb Stables, then you certainly had a memorable FG Oaks experience. Mb Stables dominated the race by taking down the trifecta. Neon Damascus was our top pick from the barn and second pick overall. “Damascus” put it into high gear late to sweep down the outside and capture the 2026 FG Oaks crown. Be Royal was our third overall pick and looked like a winner until her stablemate hit high gear inside the eighth pole. Real Tactics ran a banger from the inside post and completed the trifecta for the barn. Big congrats are in order for the winning connections for not only taking down the oaks, but for doing the memorable feat of finishing one-two-three in a most dominating performance in recent memory. Midnight Hurricane from Aer Stables was our longshot play and did well to complete the superfecta. She looks like she is coming to hand.

Of the rest:

Ontario Pharmacist from Williams9 ran her eyeballs out, carving out all the fractions before tiring late. She rarely misses a dance, so given that fact, it was a most impressive try.

Starlit Venture from Mo Mentum Farm just left herself with a little too much to do this afternoon in an effort that can be labeled as ok given the variables at play.

Randamie from Royalty Stables ran a no threat seventh, but the barn has to be a little encouraged based on who she finished in front of, especially given the fact that this was a mighty steep test by anybody’s standards after breaking her maiden last time she was under silks at Turf Paradise.

Rotaloa from Martyparty found this crowd a little salty for her liking. Expect a bounce back effort if she surfaces anywhere close to her previous level.

Tranect from Acber Farms burned a ton of money Saturday in a puzzling effort. I have nothing to report from the vet, so we will just have to wait and see. Obviously, a lot of disappointment with her connections and with the betting public who just poured it on late. When a race like this happens it is a good reminder that they are not machines, they are animals, and in a horserace, anything can and will happen.

Smugglers Point, also from Williams9, was the blowout longshot play of the card, but only managed to get some exercise and just circled the oval in a dismal effort.
