Palisades Turf Sprint
5 1/2f on Turf
Purse $300.00 For Three Year Olds
Keenland Park Lexington, Kentucky
With only five signed up for the $300.00 Palisades, you would hope that everybody gets clear sailing and that the best horse wins, but that doesn’t always happen, even in a small field things can become questionable. Flight Of Fancy from Barcelona Farms looks to fit the bill as the sharpest and possibly best horse in the race. “Fancy” is looking for win number five overall and his fourth straight. He has been versatile in his running style and can use whatever tactics are necessary Sunday. That decision probably depends on how the rail horse breaks. Junco Partner from South Shore Stables is that horse, and he just ran second to the top pick in his last start when he bobbled slightly at the break. In his previous race he came out on top and blazed through a 44.4 half while never having another horse eyeball him. Jinxed Star hails from the Mb Stable and in a race like this, that fact alone is cause to take notice. Purchased last August, he has been a bit of a project horse for the barn and has not been able to find the charmed circle in five attempts so far. No small matter that he returns to a sprint in a race that surely won’t go down as the most stellar sprint of 2026.
Of The Rest:
Red Party from T Boy Racing comes into this looking for the hat trick. Not as accomplished as a couple others here from a traditional look, he could still upset the apple cart with any improvement. He also doesn’t need to break on top to win.
Regal Classic from Mo Mentum Farm has done nothing wrong in six lifetime starts, going 2-2-2 and thus, never being off the board. The only knock here is that both wins were going two turns and also on the lead. Hard to envision him winning this heat but hitting the trifecta certainly not out of the question. He clearly won’t be short.
