6 SAR The Manhattan (GI)

The SAR turf course will be the backdrop for the 2026 Manhattan (GI), a mile and three-sixteenth test for the older males and we have some big guns in the house for this one. When the purse has that many 0’s in it, you know that nothing will be left on the table. I have one in here so I’ll stay out of the picks and will let The Card do the handicapping side of things.
They are not surprising anyone by putting State Cavier on top. Fresh off of that near miss in the Forrester Turf (GI) at CD, can a horse look any more due for a win? He’s in the thick of every single race and no reason to think any different here.
Another game ol’ rascal in their second pick, as Chagrin Falls gets that spot. You don’t put >$5,000.00 in the bank unless you are an amazing race horse, and he sure is.
Speaking of big money makers, they have Fanatical Empire as their third selection, that one with >$3,000.00 in earnings. He won last out, was sixth in this race last year, and is another that seems to know how to be around it when they purses are huge.
It’s a heck of a group and this should be a humdinger!
