The Jaipur G1 [BC] 5 1/2f on Turf
Purse $500.00 For Three Year Olds And Upward
Saratoga Racecourse Saratoga Springs, NY
Not that a $500 purse and Grade 1 status aren’t enough, but The Jaipur also is a win-and-you-are-in Breeder’s Cup qualifier to boot! Nitro from The Sidley Stud has been versatile in changing tactics lately with solid results. Sharp as a tack and drawn outside the rival he has knocked heads with in his last two starts. Slight advantage given to him for this match up. King Speed Party from Winning Link Stables is that aforementioned foe and is also razor sharp. Been a nice $50 claim for the barn and would make a great story if he wins. Lava Man from Mb Stables possesses good speed whenever he decides to use it. Saturday might be such an occasion. With only seven lined up, his outside draw could actually boost his chances. Do not just dismiss. Antarctic Gale from Maxmillion Farm has been tackling lesser foes of late and seems to be rounding back into form. Barn has traditionally been good in these spots over the years, so do not be shocked by a better effort than the form would imply.
Of The Rest;
Teterboro from Chili King Stables draws the rail and runs the risk of being covered up quickly in this spot. Will take back and make one late run. He needs the race to fall apart to have any shot.
Ineedu2party, also from Maxmillion Farm is the past class of the field, but his last three efforts going back to last year’s Breeders Cup run are tough to stomach. Unless something has gone on at the farm that I am not privy to, he can’t be recommended here.
Neagh from DJC Racing Stables reminds me of the OJ Simpson trial, specifically the look on Robert Kardashian’s face when the not guilty verdict was read. That same look will be on most people’s faces Saturday if this guy wins.
