1 Worldofconfussion Big Jd Racing 91
Worldofconfussion got beat up by the graded stakes gang last out, but she looked very sharp running a close third in The $200.00 Bouwerie the race before. Now, those races were on dirt; most of the rest of her races have been turf and pretty good at routes. Her only other stakes race saw her fourth in The $150.00 Sweetest Chant. Learning.
2 Neon Window Alberta Rose Stables 93
This is the first race I’ve worked since the Queen of HRP returned, and I must say, I am humbled by your presence. It has been a dreary Kingdom since you departed. No one has ever brought such beauty and intelligence to the game. Welcome home, Your Majesty. Now, on to your horse: what a nag! No, no, no. I jest, Your Majesty. First off, clever claim on Neon Window. Only Mb Stables would try to slip by a four times in the money favourite for $19.00. Now, her preps, perfect. I couldn’t think of a better race to prepare her unless one a bit shorter. Anyway, good luck, I hope I’m wrong and she’s ready.
3 Dark Peel Our Athletes 87
When Dark Peel decided to go stakes racing, she jumped in with all four hooves, and she started with The Grade III Gazelle at AQU. She wasn’t all that bad. As a deep closer, she was scraping the bottom of the field and fired too late but passed half the field to finish sixth only a length back. That was the start. She switched back to turf, won a sprint turf allowance at AQU, then came second in the $150.00 NY Stallion Stakes – Joy and last out third in the $200.00 Ocain at SAR.
4 Used Less Maxmillion Farm 94
Maxmillion Farm bought Used Less from Establo Pichon for $150.00 while she was still a maiden. That it took her three ore races to win a race must have been some worrisome times around the farm, but it was a sweet win, a five-length romp at her first route. And it still took some tie to find herself, but eventually she got her first stakes placing, and in a dirt sprint, of all things the $200.00 NY Stallion Series – Fourstar where she ran second. Her most recent start she placed third in the $150.00 turf sprint NY Stallion Stakes – Joy. So, now it’s the turf route.
5 Devil Z Maxmillion Farm 88
Devil Z was purchased from La Canada Racehorses for $100.00 for this race at the six-race point of her career. She started racing with a win at lowly BTP, but she didn’t let that start hold her down and she won her next start at GP at a mile. She tried her first stakes in The $150.00 Cash Run at GP but it was too soon. So, back to allowance racing, this time at SA and another mile win. OK, so back to stakes racing, this time in The $200.00 Busher but this tie second, and finally the $200.00 NY Stallion Series – Fourstar but too short. Now, what should be noted: all of these races have been done on dirt. Today we find out if she runs on grass.
6 Bedside D J C Racing Stables 90
Three races after winning at first asking, Bedside ran third beaten only a neck in the $100.00 Wait A While. Two races later she won a $6.25 claimer, yes, you could have claimed her for $6.25. In her following and most recent race she won an optional claimer at FE at seven furlongs.
7 Z Girl Threshold 87
Z Girl doesn’t have a sparkling resume at first glance, but when you study it deeper, it begins to sparkle, In her last race, she was 30-1 and recovering from back-to-back graded stakes bouts in which she was outclassed yet still managed to bring home the minor check. Prior to that shows the sparkle… what she does on turf routes as she placed a deep closing second missing by only a head in the $150.00 Ginger Brew at GP. Now, prior to that she did too well in the Grade III Surfer Girl Stakes at SA where she did a deep close to fifth beaten only a length, a decent that gave her trainer graded race hopes that she wasn’t ready to fulfill. Her first race with Threshold was also filled with hope as she finished a close third in the OT Juvenile Fillies Turf at DMR. Threshold picked Z Girl up from Family Racing for $20.00 in a Md20.00 that I suspect Family Racing thought they could sneak by, but in HRP, a filly the runs fourth in a $77.00 maiden first ask at CD gets noticed.
8 Vesuvius Flare Aer Stables 92
Just four races to look at with Vesuvius Flare, but the last two are pretty sharp turf victories. Race before last was a two-length easy maiden win at a mile at TUP, most recent was a five-furlong win in a LS allowance race. Probably needs seasoning, either that or she’s a monster.
