NY Stallion Series – Calloway
1 Mile InTurf Stake Purse $150.00 Three Years Old Foaled in NY. At SAR
Here’s the field for the NY Stallion Series – Calloway:
Horse Owner Odds SRF
Ol Crazy Mb Stables *5-2 94
Usain Colt Aer Stables 3-1 86
Perfect Zen La Canada Racehorses 7-2 90
Ethereum Hack Family Racing 4-1 89
Speedy Flight Invicta Group Llc 9-2 87
Terafunk Maletto 8-1 94
The Fixer Mb Stables 10-1 92
Carpe Diem D J C Racing Stables 20-1 94
Terafunk has never raced farther than six furlongs and until Maletto gelded him he hadn’t been showing much. As soon as he was gelded, he won an expensive SAR allowance with a lifetime high SRF number. Now, I don’t know if the trainer believes the gelding was responsible or not, but he put him in this race.
2 Carpe Diem D J C Racing Stables 91
Carpe Diem took four races to win and had to go to a claimer to do so, and a couple ore loss and here because Dom knows he has a good horse that has good numbers in the morning and likes to run turf routes.
3 Speedy Flight Invicta Group Llc 87
Speedy Flight took four races to win at MTH and was immediately sold by Spankys Barn for $25.00. The new owners took him to LS where he ran second in an allowance race, and here we are.
4 Usain Colt Aer Stables 86
Usain Colt took five races to break his maiden and followed that with a fourth in The $100.00 Murphy Stakes at LRL. The importance of those two races cannot be ignored as they are his only turf races and they were routes. That’s why he’s my second choice.
5 Ethereum Hack Family Racing 89
Big Guns Stables bred Ethereum Hack and auctioned him off for $21.13 to Greyhound who lost him in his first race, a $4.50 claiming event to Family Racing. That stable immediately got a win from hi in a high-priced AQU maiden which prompted the trainer to try the Grade II San Felipe Stakes at SA which was too soon. Since then, he has registered a couple of spectacular deep close seconds that nearly won. Get the timing worked out on one of those and it’s all over. I must point out though; all those races were on dirt.
6 The Fixer Mb Stables 92
It took The Fixer six races to break his maiden and as soon as he did he was entered in The $135.00 Gander at AQU which went badly, so He was turned to turf racing which went bad until he was dropped to FE where he won an optional claimer which brought him here.
7 Ol Crazy Mb Stables 94 m
Ol Crazy is another of Dan’s new bright stars that he acquired by auction. Originally bred by Woogaloo, he was auctioned to Overpeer Stables for $15.01 who then raced him twice at FE and got a win and put him up for auction and was probably disappointed when Mb Stables nabbed him for only $5.00. The trainer then put him in training for five months before running him second in a MTH allowance race and coming back in two months to win a SAR allowance. No telling how good.
8 Perfect Zen La Canada Racehorses 90
Nearly all of Perfect Zen’s career has been spent on turf routes with a modicum of success, nothing spectacular, just reliably consistent in high level races. After all, I’m not picking him to win; I’m picking him third.
