1st Unfold Fractious Hernandez R M

On a day when Fractious seemed to sell most of the runners in this BC he managed to buy one in this gelding which he picked up for $300. His last two starts have been adversely affected by the draw and back to a competitive draw today he came with a huge late run to win by a half length. He seems the type that needs things to be just right to run like this so i doubt we will see him running up big sequences but i have a sneaking suspicion he may need further next year and he may end up a Classic runner in 12 months.

2nd Burning Approval Mb Stables Bejarano R

Tracked the winner throughout but always seemed to be a shade behind him and thats how it ended. For some reason he got a bit further back than normal and to be fair to him ran the race of his life it just wasnt quite good enough today.

3rd Compress Mb Stables Velazquez J R

This great six year old almost turned back the clock today battling on gamely from on the speed off a very fast early pace. I think this was one of his best career efforts and suggests there maybe one more season in him.

4th Sonador Night Rider Stables Bridgmohan S X

He has gone from a ten buck claimer to 4th in the BC Dirt Mile in eleven months, no mean feat and one that i am sure his trainer will be proud of. Beaten just a length he was fighting hard down the stretch.
