Aer Is Headed to Louisville on the “Backroads” Takes SUN Derby

Every year, it seems many of the same stables are able to find themselves on the TC Trail, and Aer Stables certainly fits that description.  The take no prisoners conditioner knows what it takes to get the job done, and it looks like they have another good one in Backroad Bounty as the black gelding gets the job done in Sunday’s SUN Derby (GIII), getting home in front by a length while stopping the clock at 1:41.34 over the main oval, listed as Fast.  To keep that storyline going, Mb Stables grabs the second spot as Super Good sets the pace to deep in the lane but cannot find a way to hold off the eventual winner, taking the second spot by a half-length over Noblepark’s Gunga Jung, then the same distance to Lights Camera Action, conditioned by Diablo Diablo.  Seven lengths covered the field of twelve.
