Alligator Looking To Get Back On Track

The Fox – GIII
GP Race 7 1M – InTurf
Purse $150.000
Four Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares

Well although this is a pretty small field it still has a lot of talent in it. Just by looking at the forms of each of these in my opinion any one of the six can win this race. It is a pretty evenly matched group for sure and there is not a clear cut favorite in here in my opinion. Let’s take a look at the field.

1. Ghosted (12-5-3-0 $161.260), trained by Ekli Stable

This first filly that we come across is entering this race off of a win in the South Beach here at Gulfstream Park on Pegasus World Cup weekend. She won over that soft turf course by three quarters of a length. She definitely has a good chance in her if she runs the same type of race she did last out.

2. Snacks (13-4-3-0 $211.500), trained by D J C Racing Stables

Now to this filly who is a graded stakes winner in her career when she won the grade three Athenia at Belmont last fall. She usually likes to close from behind so she will need a fast pace to help her out. If she gets a fast pace and a good trip she will be a tough one to hold off late.

3. Quakerce (17-8-2-0 $889.600), trained by Fractious

Well here we have the 2017 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner. Now although she hasn’t won a race of that caliber since then she has still been running at a pretty high level. She just ran second in the grade three Megahertz last out so she fits with this group for sure. She will need to run a big one but she is capable of it.

4. Five Million (14-4-0-1 $134.100), trained by TwinTowers Racing

A grade one placed filly right here when she ran third in the grade one Test last summer but that was on the dirt. She just ran second in the SSM F/M Turf Sprint at Santa Anita but I think that she needed more ground that day because she was closing. She will need a quick pace to help her out.

5. Alligator (20-4-3-3 $879.800), trained by Maxmillion Farm

Now here who is the runner that may have the most class in the field because she ran third in the grade one Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Turf last November. She ran a big race that day and should have a great chance to win this one if she runs like she did in there. She is my top pick of the race.

6. Saddle Happy (18-6-4-3 $286.890), trained by Our Athletes

And now last but not least we come to this mare right here who is entering this race off of a third place finish against optional claiming company. She won the grade three Cardinal Handicap before that though she is capable of winning this race if she gets loose on the lead.

Summary

A nice field right here for sure and I honestly think that anyone of the six can win. My top choice is Alligator because I think that she is bringing the most class into the field and she will be tough to beat I think. It is a very solid field for sure and good luck to everyone in the race.
