Another great race, another great finish…  PRK-eve sure did bring us some fantastic racing and The Miss PS (GIII) was certainly part of that.  D J C Racing Stables’ Amalfi, sent off as the slight 1.20 favorite, held off a couple of long-shots to take the six furlong stakes sprint in a final running time of 1:09.24.  Shes A Freak, dismissed at 24/1 odds,  closed a late gap for the second spot, a neck behind the winner, with Miss Atomic Bomb, sent off at 10/1, in third.  Franchise Filly was fourth.

Amalfi tracked the early pace 2p, asked at the three-sixteenths, responded, overtook leader at the sixteenth pole 4p, won driving.  Shes A Freak in hand early, still outrun to the far turn, advanced into the lane 2p, closed full of run, just missed.  Miss Atomic Bomb broke in hand, rated off of the pace, fanned widest of all for the drive, good late effort.  Franchise Filly broke alertly, moved to the rail, set the pace to the sixteenth marker, tired.  Mycrazyxgirlfriend away well, tracked the pace from the inside, tired.  Shimkal taken back after the start, advanced into the far turn 4p, tired lane.
