Another Juvenile Clean Sweep for Mb Stables in Alcibiades

Alcibiades – Grade I [BC] [KYO]
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $400.000 Filly 2 Year Olds.

1st     Present Tense       Mb Stables        Beschizza A

Another one two three and another superstar juvenile for Mb Stables, is there no stopping the juggernaut as they once again corner the market heading towards the Breeders Cup. Most of us find it hard enough to get one in a race like this let alone get three in and have them finish into first second and third but this is the second time in recent weeks i have been writing the same thing and i do wonder whether our champion trainer is getting even better at this game.
Now a winner of four from six he looked a bit unlucky last time and was very strong throughout todays race. Still only 15.2hh and with a beautiful conformation he looks the type to be a big BC chance and should go onto the big three year old races next year.

2nd       Keno Queen        Mb Stables        Gaffalione T

Coming off just a 20 day break this was exactly what the daughter of little known but emerging stallion Sandston needed to get in the shake for the BC. She has proven a real tough sort in an pretty busy career so far and came home strongly to be a great second. Another example of our click and play computer game this one started fast and made the running in the Pocahontas last time but faded to fourth but today was turned into a deep closer and came from a mile behind. It is hard to see her beating the winner come the BC but she is just the sort that will be right there and has already shown her versatility.

3rd      Bella Chica         Mb Stables        Bridgmohan S X

Raced up with her stable companion for much of the race but class and experience showed in the end and she just flattened out in the final furlong. She completed yet another famous clean sweep for the remarkable stable and with a few more races under her belt she will be a force in the big races.

4th       Kent       Smokey Stover          Jaramillo E

It is fitting that the first four was rounded out by Smokey’s runner as these two stables have dominated much of the breeding to race stables in the past few seasons. She ran a similar race to her effort in the Sorority Stakes traveling close up but just not finding enough under the whip. Just her third race she is entitled to keep improving.
