The betting public could not decide on a real clear favorite for the Beaugay, with no horse having odds better then 4/1, and only once worse then 10/1. The field was wide open, and it would be a hotly contested race, resulting in a photo finish at the wire.

Bach In Tune Hopes to Stay Hot in The Beaugay
The gate will mostly be full at BEL on Satuday for the 11th running of the Grade 3 Beaugay, a race that showcases older female turf horses. Conditions have varied on the race since its inception, and up until 2014, three year olds were also eligible to run against the older horses.

In the 16th running of the Ruffian Handicap, Mb Stables had a chance to win the race for the fifth straight year. He will have to settle for being a very close second as playing spoiler this afternoon was Dragon Wagon!

At virtual CD, there will be racing this weekend. Both Friday and Saturday features an incredible card bringing many horses to this storied race track. It begins with Friday, with the centerpiece being the 17th running of the KYO, the premier race of the spring for three year old fillies.
