BC Turf Sprint Spot at Stake in The Jaipur
A spot in the BC Turf Sprint is up for grabs as the division as it’s first “Win and You’re In” race at SAR in the 22nd running of the Grade 1 Jaipur. Nine horses will be taking part in the race to not only try to get into the BC, but also take the top portion of the $500.000 purse.

The Shawnee would be a close race all the way to the end, but that did not stop us from having a wire to wire winner, as Balius at one point jumped out to a two length lead before having her trainer, Threshold, yell for the wire to hurry up and get there.

Big Blue Cruises in Rain to Win PEN Mile
Friday was wet across many places in the northeast, and PEN was no exception as steady rain left the track sloppy and soft. For Big Blue, this is to be expected, as it would mark the fourth race in a row that he ran on an off track, with three of them being soft.

Strong Field of Nine for The Shawnee
A field of nine older females have made their way to CD to take part in the sixth running of the Grade 3 Shawnee, which will send them a mile and a sixteenth around the main track. As time has gone on, the race has seen gradual purse increases and has settled into the $275.000 amount now for the second year.

Jakarta Gets His Second Shoemaker Mile Victory
This year’s Shoemaker Mile would see a head to head battle between the last two winners of race as Jakarta (2023) and Electric Blue (2024) looked to win it again while taking on four others. After running a mile on the turf, it would be Jakarta going wire to wire, just like he did two years ago.
