Lucille Edges Multiple Shadows to Win The Demoiselle
It’s back to the winner’s circle in The Demoiselle for D J C Racing Stables, as the trainer wins the race for the second year in a row as well as for the third time in five years. Getting the job done for him was Lucille, a filly who wins her third big stake in four tries.

Extreme Jet Thoroughly Dominates The Remsen
There is still five months until the KYD, but for now we can have some fun with predicting who the top contenders will be. In looking at the Remsen, a race that did end up having several KYD runners in it last year, including the winner, Extreme Jet, at the very least sent a message that we need to remember his name.

Will The Remsen Produce Another KYD Winner?
Will we see the future KYD winner running on Saturday at AQU in the Remsen? Well, we did last year, as Hippyheart’s Bad Debt finished second in the Remsen and he carried that momentum into the spring. Now, a field of twelve will hope that they can follow the lead of Bad Debt and also make the big race.

Luminous Gold Makes Alydar Stables Debut in The Demoiselle
It’s a big weekend for two year olds at the Big A on Saturday, as races that award points for both the KYO and the KYD will take place. Here, we will look at the fillies side in the 20th running of the Grade 2 Demoiselle. 10 points for the KYO will be heading to the winner, so while it’s not the biggest prep for the race, we all know that a few points could mean the difference between running in the race or sitting on the also eligible list.

Late Run by Investment Center Pays Off in Clark
Before the Clark even began, we were surprised to learn that all three of the Fractious runners that were scheduled would be scratched for the race. This would leave us with a field of eight on a fast track, so it’s not as if rain caused the scratches.

Reorganize Hangs on to Light Up the Board in Mrs Revere
While we certainly expect every graded stake to be highly competitive, the field for the Mrs Revere was interesting because most of the fillies came into the race hot, either riding a winning streak of multiple races, or simply being on great form. Since June, Reorganize has been running well, but still would go off as a 38/1 longshot.

Big Win for Skydancer in Falls City Stakes
It was some early morning racing at CD this morning, as the 10:00am post time saw a field of four run in the Falls City Stakes. We would have one scratch in the race, and it was the one we picked to win: Two Phils. This moved up Skydancer to be our pick, and the Riggins Racing filly would score a convincing three length victory!

Mrs Revere Sees Several Red-Hot Fillies Taking Part
The card at CD on Friday has a little something for three year old turf fillies, as the 21st running of the Mrs Revere takes place. The conditions for this race have been constant over the years, with the price seeing a gradual increase to the present level.

Wahpekute Sioux Headlines Strong Clark Field
Three horses that we saw at the start of the month in the BC Classic, including runner up Wahpekute Sioux, will be in action this Friday for the 21st running of the Grade 2 Clark. This race had been a Grade 1 for a while, and was a Handicap until 2022.

Will There Be One or Two Winners in Falls City Stakes?
With all three of my races ending in dead heats last weekend, I am hoping to be able to report on solo winners this week. On Turkey Day, the Falls City Stakes take place at CD with a brand new look. This race used to be a handicap, but that will not be the case in 2024.
