After Las Cienegas, Lady Of Lord is Finally a Stake Winner!
Heading into the Las Cienegas Stakes, there were two horses in the field that could be categorized as regular sprinters. The others were cutting back from the type of distance that they had been running recently. Perhaps it should not come as much of a surprise that one of those two horses ended up winning this race (and the other finished second).

Cassandra G Looks to Start Her Year Off Right in Las Cienegas Stakes
Happy New Year, everyone! It’s exciting to be back at it for coverage of another year of virtual racing excitement. What will the great races of 2022 hold for us? That won’t be answered for a while, so for now, let’s think a little smaller with a Grade 3 coming to us from SA.

Statement Win for Mr Pancake in Great White Way
We would see rain on Saturday at the Big A, but the track did not see as much of it as we thought there may be, and the track would only be downgraded to a good status. That would prove to not be any sort of problem for Mr Pancake, a horse that had an impressive debut and was making his second career start here in the Great White Way.

Libby Creek And Make An Impact Share LCD Lassie Trophy
A field of five got together for the LCD Lassie on Saturday, and after six furlongs, there was a tight three-way photo. Two horses were shown as being barely ahead of the third place finisher, but there could be no separating our top two as the post time favorite, Libby Creek and the longest shot on the board, Make An Impact run in a dead heat.

Looking For A King In The Prather Stakes
Exciting statebred racing does not stop this weekend, as on Monday, we will get a chance to watch some promising New Mexico bred horses. It’s the seventh running of the Prather Stakes, sending two year olds a little more than a mile on the main track.

Filly Looks to Extend Authority on the Boys in LCD Juvenile
The biggest races on Saturday will be held at FG, with a specific focus on those bred in Louisiana. There are a total of seven stakes taking place, so those trainers taking part will be hoping for a fast and firm race track. Unfortunately, weather is a concern, but the chance of showers has trended down just a little bit.

Freaks and Creeks Headline LCD Lassie
We continue our look at these fantastic LA-bred races by moving to the LCD Lassie, which is the race for Juvenile Fillies bred in the state. Like it’s counterpart for males, it first appeared on the schedule in 2006, but has not run every year.
