When we looked at the SSM F/M Turf Sprint, Sweetness had all the look of the horse to beat, and she went out there and did so. That can’t be said for the winner of the CA Cup Sprint, Daddys Operation. This TwinTowersRacing colt would go off as the longest shot on the board, at odds of 38/1.

That would prove to not be any sort of problem for Mr Pancake, a horse that had an impressive debut and was making his second career start here in the Great White Way.

Hilarity Looks to Rebound in Great White Way
Over the last couple weeks, much of the bigger races to talk about have been statebred stakes. That trend continues this weekend with the Great White Way, which is part of the NY Stallion Series. Weather may be an issue for it, with a high chance of rain for Saturday.

Hand Cannon Holds Off Cowboys Are King To Rule In Prather Stakes
For his last two races, Hand Cannon saw some of the best competition out there, running in the Grade 1 Hopeful and the Grade 2 Pilgrim. Neither of those races went well for the gelding, so the lower profile Prather Stakes seemed like a great spot for him to fall back into and get a strong result.
