The Pegasus World Cup Turf Will Need a King
This is an active weekend of racing throughout the virtual nation, with several tracks hosting races of considerable prestige and overall impact. There may be some debate over which track has the biggest races, but with it being Pegasus weekend, GP certainly makes a very strong argument that they should be the first focal point.

Shelbags Overtakes Former BC Rival Late to Win Kenner Stakes
The weather did not cooperate with the trainers for the running of the Kenner Stakes, as steady rain forced the turf course to be listed as soft. It did not spoil the day of the horses that we picked to finish as the top two, though they finished in the opposite order.

Graded Quality Field for Ungraded Kenner Stakes
This Saturday, FG will play host to both a KYD and a KYO prep race, but also has several interesting races on the undercard that will lead us up to the day’s features. The Kenner Stakes, a five and a half furlong turf event, may be just an ungraded stake, but usually attracts very good horses anyway.

John Deere Gets Revenge on Pearls Before Swine in SSM Sprint
The SSM Sprint looked like a two horse race from the start. John Deere and Pearls Before Swine were the class of the four horse field, and it would probably take a career best effort for one of the other two to score the victory. In the end, that’s exactly what we got.

Snake Island Makes Statement with Win in Fifth Avenue
2022 was the third time that the Fifth Avenue, part of the NY Stallion Series, would run for a $500.000 purse, and that led to a strong field that had a nice mix of horses that have already proven themselves at this level, and those looking to make a statement in what is probably their final race as a two year old.

Big Purse at Stake for Fifth Avenue
Breeding in New York is highly popular within the game, so when a $500.000 NY-bred race is on the schedule, especially involving two year olds, you better believe that the starting gate will be full, and that there will be plenty of talent within it.

Ladies Want Me Gets the Distance in Hobbs Fall Classic Win
With so few horses in the Hobbs Falls Classic having run long and several of them not even having any public mile works to look at, predicting how the race would go was pretty impossible. Naturally, if they were entered into the race, there was plenty behind the scenes to get their trainers excited.
