As one would expect, Mb Stables got the BC festivities kicked off in style with a win as The Gypsy King made a bold move as they turned for home and got home in front by a length to take The Nyquist for his first stakes score.  The final running time was 1:161 for the six and a half furlongs. Well, the girls went a couple of clicks faster than the boys as Sundress, owned by Our Athletes, made it two in a row with a front end, one length score here in The Songbird.  Soye closed well but just couldn’t catch the winner, settling for the place, just a nose in front of Sheza Bombay, and Take On Me in fourth, both trained by Mb Stables.  The final running time was 1:154 on the fast KEE main track.

Greeko Holdem’s Nb Forrest pressed the pace throughout and wore them all down, taking The Bryan Station by a neck, scoring his first stakes win and proving to be one heck of a $12.500 claim (back in Aug).  Class Factor and No More Haggis finished in a dead-heat for the second spot, a length better than Red Dawning in fourth.  The final running time was 1:481 for the mile and an eighth main track event.

Empire World gave the performance of the day in my eye as the 3yo filly destroyed this field by three lengths in a final time of 1:09, giving Maxmillion Farm the win and proving to be another fantastic claim at the bargain price of $12.500.  It was a blanket finish for the remaining spots as Oneida grabbed second by a nose at 30/1 odss, then Deeback in third by a head over Serious Speed.
