1st Beach Dandy, trained by Joshua Stables

Well he did it. The favorite for this year’s running of the Derby ran a huge race from the nineteen post and in the slop and with the help of a rabbit he got the job done. He ran a huge race and should be favored once again in the Preakness. The final time was 2:08.10 and he earned $1800.000 for the win.

2nd Rainstorm, trained by Fractious

A very good closing run from this runner right here as he loved the sloppy going also and closed nicely from about midpack. He was about midpack early on and then we got some room he made a very good run but could just not get to the winner. Still a very nice second though and he should be on his way to the Preakness most likely.

3rd Apples To Oranges, trained by Mb Stables

Also a very big run from this horse right here as he closed from as far back as fifteenth at one point. He was very far back early and somehow maneuvered a trip to go through and at least get up for third. He seemed to like the slop and he ran a big race so he might be under consideration for the Preakness.

4th Demon, trained by Team 7 Illusions

A huge run from the huge longshot as he was ninety five to one and he got up for a very good fourth place finish. He seemed to not mind the slop at all and he made a decent the last quarter of a mile to get up for fourth and only get best by two lengths in the end. A nice run and a possible Preakness runner also.

Summary

Well the favorite and top selection by many got the job done here in the rain soaked Kentucky Derby. He ran an absolutely amazing race from post nineteen and romped home in the slop. He will be moving to the Preakness next and he will be favored there. He is a legitimate chance for a Triple Crown I think and he will be tough to beat throughout the rest of the Triple Crown. Congratulations to Beach Dandy and Joshua Stables.
