7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $250.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st Black Sunshine, trained by John Henry
This filly started at fairly long odds for a horse that was only beaten two lengths in a grade one last time out. Stalking the leaders she started to assert coming into the final furlong and ran out a good three quarter length winner. This is yet another graded stakes win for Commanding who seems to drop these stakes winning fillies like lemonade.

2nd General Flecha, trained by Mb Stables
Went round the turns at CT last time faster than she went today but never got to dictate the pace after an ordinary start in this race and was always just whacking away down the stretch. A good effort but after four straight wins this was a bit of a reality check for the filly.

3rd Phun Stick, trained by Axeman
Got very much closer to General Flecha this time but was still found wanting when the whips started to fly. The Seaway winner will be back to fight another day.

4th Roxy Lisa, trained by Canadian Racing
Landed up on the speed by the wide gate she couldnt keep up the gallop and was swallowed up in the final furlong.
