A fast early pace set this race up for the wide closer’s and sure enough despite an almost exactly the same winning time as when he was soundly beaten by Iron Nation in the Transylvania he turned that around to gain a neck win. Whether it was the pace, the change of jockey or just HRP we will only find out as the season rolls on but one things for sure this lightly raced three year old has a bright future.

2nd Show Shocker Maxmillion Farm Gutierrez Mario

Third beaten a half length in a sprint stakes and then a month later second beaten a neck in route stakes he once again advertises that trip mean very little here at HRP.This was a career best effort for the turf kings runner and i am sure there will be more to come.

3rd Iron Nation Nakamura Stables Gryder A T

The long odds on favorite for some reason he couldn’t match his two length beating of today’s winner when they met in the Transylvania but instead kept on to be beaten a half length into third.

4th Hammerfest Smokey Stover Bejarano R

Kept on for fourth but seems to lack a turn of foot at this level
