Riggins Racings Sorenstam showed a lot of heart and determination to get the job done in Saturday’s Bourbonette Oaks at TP.   After stalking the pace to the far turn, Sorenstam and Altered State took off in a two-horse battle that lasted the better part of a half mile, with the prior edging clear late to hold off the Mb Stables’ 40/1 long-shot and get the big win and KYO points.  The latter certainly gave her all, but had to settle for the second spot, three-quarters of a length better than Williams9’s Active Will and Arkansas Elite’s Ranger Danger ending in a dead-heat for third.  The final running time was 1:42.27 for the mile and a sixteenth and the track was listed as Fast.  Seven lengths covered the full field of twelve.
