Mb Stables upsets the apple cart a bit in the Bewitch (GIII) at KEE as his Build Battle, sent off at 14/1 odds, went head and head all the way around
the famed turf course here in Lexington, then pulled away late to win by two. She got the marathon mile and a half distance in 2:26.06 and the turf course was listed Firm. Post time favorite, Number Nine, tracked the winner all the way around but couldn’t go on late and settled for the second spot. Shes One Of A Kind was third with Common Misconception fourth.

Build Battle sent from gate, led under pressure to the far turn, kicked away, held sway to win in hand. Number Nine pressed the pace to the far turn, could not go with winner, second best. Shes One Of A Kind mid-pack 3p, began to move up on the far turn angling out for the drive, best of rest. Common Misconception ground saving trip, evenly. Made The Choice High poor break losing all chance, some late interest. Into The Darkness just behind the pace between horses to the far turn, tired. Nurses was outrun.
