Three Year Olds
1st Burning Approval, trained by Mb Stables
Well a second grade one score in a row for this horse and third win in a row for him. He backed up a win in the grade one Travers and proved that it was not a fluke win. He ran the distance in 1:48.10 and earned $600.000 for the win. He looks the best three year old in the game with this win.
2nd Marquee, trained by Fractious
A very surprising second place finish for this horse as I thought he might be in a little bit too tough but he ran a huge race and was only beaten a half length. He ran a big race and maybe finally put it all together. He should improve off of this race.
2nd Beach Dandy, trained by John Henry
Even though he did not win he still proved that he is one of the top three year olds in the game. He had a tough trip since he was so close to the pace early and he was even in front at the eighth pole until he got wrangled in before the wire. A good second for him.
4th For The Boys, trained by D J C Racing Stables
Another tough beat for this runner as he was only a half length away from winning. That is the fourth time in a row he has been within a length of winning a big race and he just runs too good to be this unlucky. He will get a win in a big race eventually.
Summary
Well the winner backed up his last two wins and stamped himself as maybe the best three year old in the game with this win. He should be set up perfectly for a Breeders Cup bid now. Congratulations to Burning Approval and Mb Stables.
