Can Tiger Town Overcome Wide Gate to Take Canadian Derby?

Canadian Derby – Grade III
NP   Race #1   1 3/8m   Dirt   Graded Stake
Purse $150.000  For Three Year Olds.

1 Tamiami Trail, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy
He will probably appreciate the trip, but his form to date looks well below that needed to win a stakes race. Having said that, that fact will only put him a length behind the best, so anything could happen I guess.

2 Jellicoe, trained by BigKing
Claimed for $35.000 last time when second in a sprint. He won’t mind the trip, but isnt particularly good, so things will have to go hs way to have a chance.

3 Eye For Art, trained by Aer Stables
His last win came in an optional $5.000 claimer, so it s hard to recommend him on that, but he didn’t run a terrible race in the NY Derby, so may get a minor prize.

4 Heart Of Silver, trained by Samlam
Won a fair track $5.000 maiden claimer last time, so can only be here to make up the numbers. Having said that, his works aren’t that far behind a few of these, so he has an outside chance of a place.

5 Reindeer, trained by Triple T Racing
Probably the classiest in the field as he showed when winning the Grade III Pegasus the time before last. He would be an obvious choice for this race, but only ran a couple of weeks ago in the WV Derby, so this may come a bit quick for him, if it’s not, then he is first or second, plain and simple.

6 Tiger Town, trained by Aer Stables
The best worker in the race, and he ran a lovely race in the IND Derby last time. This looks like his race to lose, but the wide draw will test him and his trainer.

SUMMARY
This looks the most obvious one-two for ages. I think Tiger Town may have the edge over Reindeer with the rest nowhere.
