A virtual Tropical Storm moved through the area overnight, and that left the turf course at BEL as soft for the running of this years BEL Oaks. That raised new questions as to who the ones to shine would be on this soaked surface and there were not many in this field who had ever raced on an off track.

Record Setting Win for Odd Trek in The Acorn
Since the leadup to the KYO, I have been talking about Odd Trek as a filly who’s best days would come during the summer months. Turns out, she is getting a head start on that with a powerful performance on Saturday in the Grade 1 Acorn Stakes.
Gordon Drive Takes Outside Lane to Win The Jaipur
Gordon Drive was in tough for his return to sprinting, as he was drawn into the outside post for the 17th running of the Grade 1 Jaipur at BEL. On this day, the outside would not be a bad place to start at all at BEL, as we would see in a few races today.
