This is an active weekend of racing throughout the virtual nation, with several tracks hosting races of considerable prestige and overall impact. There may be some debate over which track has the biggest races, but with it being Pegasus weekend, GP certainly makes a very strong argument that they should be the first focal point.

With seven horses returning from the BC Fillies and Mares Turf last month, the field for the Matriarch was impressive. We knew that we were in for a great race as horses had a chance to further make a statement from a strong run in the BC, or to perhaps, get a little redemption.

Saturday was a wet day at many race tracks across the virtual nation, and AQU was not immune to the raindrops on this day. The track would be downgraded to “good”, but it would not lead to any scratches. When there is a rain, you want a horse that knows how to figure out a storm, so it is only fitting that our pre-race pick to win, Figured The Storm, would end up getting the win.

There is a lot of excitement at the Big A on Saturday, as the Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap will be taking place. The starting gate will be full for the race that offers the largest purse that we will see anywhere during the month of December.
