Berlin Grinds Out a Win in CT Classic

The CT Classic is a race that has been won by many true greats of our virtual world. Now, Berlin, perhaps not the first horse that comes to mind when thinking about those that are trained by The Sidley Stud, will add his name to that impressive list.

Gigafemme Is Impressive In Stretch To Win CT Oaks

Last December, Gigafemme picked up a huge win when she captured the $500.000 Fifth Avenue, for NY-breds, at AQU, but she has been quiet thus far as a three year old. Despite being winless in her five starts coming in, she had looked good last month in a SAR allowance to create some optimism about how she may fare at CT.

Comparing the Six that Will Run in The Lake Placid

It’s Travers Day at SAR, and that means plenty of good races on the undercard as well! Here, we’ll take a look at the 22nd running of the Lake Placid, which is held on the inner turf course for three year old fillies, at a mile. The purse for the race has doubled from where it had been in recent years, and the $400.000 represents a new high for this race.

Berlin Headlines The CT Classic Field

Previously, we looked at the CT Oaks, so now it’s time to check out the other massive race taking part at everyone’s favorite bullring: the CT Classic. This race first appeared on the schedule in 2010 and has seen some true virtual racing legends get the win. After all, the first two winners were Madhouse and Mrs Bombastic!

Top Two from The Test Battle It Out in CT Oaks

Some of the top three old fillies have made their way to CT for the fourteenth running of the CT Oaks, a seven furlong race that offers a generous $750.000 purse. This is the second year that the race has been classified as a Grade 2, and it is the third year that it has run for that high of an amount.

Dead Heat in Beverly D

Forty percent of the field in the Beverly D can call themselves a winner, as a mile and three sixteenths was not enough to separate Lille and Lady Hilltopper, as the two of them finish in a dead heat in this five horse field. The result joins together the longshot on the board, Lille, and the post time favorite and 2024 winner Lady Hilltopper.
