Siouxbiscuit Prevails in a Photo Finish in Dogwood

Over the course of her three year old campaign, Siouxbiscuit has been highly productive, but a series of close calls at the wire has likely left Mb Stables thinking that the filly could have done so much more. She’s been a little snake-bit, and her last race where she missed the headbob at the wire in the Grade 1 Test is a good example of that.

This is a race that has been very different throughout its history, with multiple distances having been run, and then originating as a Grade 3 and before losing that classification in 2016.

Be Yourself Survives at Wire to Win Pocahontas

It may or may not be a glimpse into the KYO trail for next year, but Saturday at CD, we saw a group of two year old fillies who are showing plenty of potential early in the careers go at in the Pocahontas. None of them were able to catch the frontrunner of the race, Be Yourself, as the the post time favorite got out on the lead early and stayed there to score the big win.
