4/18/26
5 KEE Ali (GIII)
$350.000 4yo&Up 13/16th m Dirt 123lbs
We got nuthin’ right in this one… Mb Stables‘ Charlie Jace proves the age-old statement of you just don’t bet against the big barn as the bay entire sets the pace throughout Saturday’s Ali (GIII) at KEE, and stays the distance to score by three-quarters of a length while stopping the clock at 1:532 for the mile and three sixteenths’ distance. That’s a new track standard for this rarely used distance. This was his first win of the ’26 season, his sixth lifetime score from nineteen starts and he now shows $1,794.00 in purse winnings. Congrats to the connections!
Fried Chicken, from the Angelos Stable and sent off at 8/1 odds, closed from far back, but just could not get to the eventual winner, settling for the second spot. It was another length to TwinTowersRacing’s long-shot, Derby Dreams in third, with Nakamura Stables’ Classic Look another neck back, taking the minor reward.
Eight lengths covered the field of ten, the main track was listed as fast and we had no scratches.
