Clockwork Chai 2017 BC Turf Mile winner?

PEN Mile – Grade II
1 Mile Turf Stake Purse $500.00 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st Clockwork Chai, trained by Mb Stables
For me this was the first time we got to really see which is the best turf miler out of the three year olds and the answer came emphatically as this son of Proud Chai romped home. He just hasnt stopped improving this year and as a three year old i would stake my house that he will be winning the BC Turf Mile in November.

2nd Serious Cobra, trained by Aer Stables
The outside speed push saw him go to the front but i was very impressed by the son of King Cobra as he kept on gamely to hold on for second. Its not easy to overcome a wide draw at HRP and to run strong splits and still finish second is no mean feat.

3rd Ye Charley, trained by Smokey Stover
Taken to the trail and flew home but the winner had won by the time he could even smell his sweat. This was a decent run but he was beaten and i cant see how he can turn the tables on the first two in the future.

4th Pain, trained by John Henry
Stayed on nicely for fourth in a good effort which will have encouraged his new owner.

SUMMARY
A great race and a super winner, i could easily see the same 1,2,3 in the BC Turf Mile in November.
