Coach McGuirk from Mo Mentum Farm paid good dividends by winning The Pegasus Stakes Saturday and beating several good three year old rivals in the process. The $250 purchase is now looking for four straight and making the investment look spot on. Congrats to the winning connections. Big Dog from John Henry, another three year old quickly moving up the ladder also ran a big one Saturday as he opened up and lead all the way until deep stretch in a solid effort. Dune Road from DJC Racing Stables followed up his last solid effort with another good run Saturday and completed the trifecta. Suffering Fools from Alydar Stables, our top pick, tracked the pace most of the way and tired slightly to run fourth.
Of The Rest:
Wally Gator from Rock Creek made up solid late ground in a better than looked effort. Looks to be coming up to a peak performance soon.
Popular Demand from Mb Stables tracked in sixth most of the way and ran what can be considered an even race today. Probably a touch outclassed on the afternoon.
Master Of One from Winning Link Stables did not improve in his first after the geld and ran just an even race today.
Cherokee Money from Happy Tuesday was unable to get close to the pace and had no response at crunch time.
Looting And Shooting from Night Rider Stables took back as expected, but had no answers late today.
Terrorizer from TwinTowers Racing pressed up into a chasing position but paid the price and folded around the turn for home.
Megabyte from Maletto broke a little awkward and that ended his day quickly as he never got close to the pace and backed out like a horse not wanting two-turns.
