Cold Weather Rider Shows His Class in The GP Turf Sprint

The GP Turf Sprint – Grade III
5 Furlongs Turf Stake Purse $100.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Cold Weather Rider Night Rider Stables Panici L

I said before the race that he was one of the most accomplished sprinters in the race and it was his class in the end that saw him home in a nice time and in good fashion. This evergreen sprinter maybe seven now but he is showing no signs of slowing down.

2nd Shelbags Lindeman Prairie Lebron V

Stalked a decent pace but just didn’t have a kick at the end. This was by far and away his best performance ever especially when you consider he was being well beaten in a $9 claimer just 8 months ago. The new trainer has seen steady improvement in him and after this e must now be considered a stakes class sprinter.

3rd Eggs And Bacon John Henry Berrios H I

He has proved a very nice and astute auction purchase for his owner leading at the furlong pole today but just not having enough to hold on. This was a good effort by the battler and i am sure we will see him as competitive in more races like this going forward.

4th Cellmate Bears Stable Pino M G

I still think this is the fastest horse in this race but a combination of an 8% jockey and a horror draw saw him end up fourth. Taken back he ran home well and if ever he can get a decent jockey and a decent draw in a race like this i think he will win.
