$100.000 3yo F 1 1/16m Turf 121lbs +penalties
The favorite won and it was big numbers behind her… and we handed out that monster trifecta… Common Misconception almost seemed to be toying with this group in Saturday’s Herecomesthebride Stakes (GIII), breaking on top, making every call a winning one and cruising home by two in a final time of 1:39.70 for the mile and a sixteen turf stakes. That was a new stakes record. Stateside, sent off at 16/1 odds, was a half length better than the fast closing Party In The Brig, a 30/1 shot, finished third. Rank outsider Narragansett, sent off at 85/1, took the fourth spot.

Common Misconception broker alertly, set the pace throughout, won without challenge. Stateside away well, tracked the leader, no threat to the winner. Party In The Brig rated back, in hand, some late response. Narragansett in hand, passed tiring rivals. Casting Couch Cutie gave an even effort while no threat. Painville away well, flashed early speed, tired. Native Exclusive forwardly placed early, tired. Highly One off a step slow, never involved. Shake Your Feathers was outrun. Bring It On raced mid-pack for six furlongs, tired. Hypocrisy gave a dull effort.
