Coronation Cup Can Literally Be Won by Anything

Coronation Cup – Grade III
SAR Race #7 5 1/2f Turf Graded Stake
Purse $175.000 For Fillies Three Years Old.

1 People Easer Mb Stables Franco M 122 —

These three-year-old fillies have limited opportunities at this time of year, so we have ended up with a competitive field for a grade three especially as there are no penalties listed. This filly a grade three winner last time out has won five from ten and is exactly the type of filly that should be pushing the top turf sprinters by the Autumn. She has bags of pace and runs from the perfect draw to hold them out round the turn and take this out for the champion trainer.

2 Piatt Royalty Stables Velazquez J R 122 —

Form at HRP is always a tough read and this is a good example of how difficult it can be to determine winners through racetrack performance. She won the Mamzelle from an inside draw easily prevailing over People Easer who had a wider draw. Then last time out in the Soaring Softly People Easer raced from a wide draw and went forward and this one raced from a wide draw and went way back; In the end it was People Easer that turned around the form with a 4-length reversal. Previous to that in the Limestone they had finished pretty much alongside each other from the same draws. So how do we work that one out?

3 Blue Velvet First Flight Stable Buick W T 122 —

One from one on turf, this filly has been on the dirt since and over a variety of trips, so her form makes tough reading. Fast on the dirt if she can run the turf today, she is a win chance.

4 Matey Red Fox Farms Lezcano J 122 —

Another example of the impossibility to read the form here at HRP as this one beat Piatt in the Melody Of Colors but then finished well back in the Mamzelle well beaten by the same horse. A good winner of the Georgian Bay last time it is just impossible to accurately pick which one of these three will finish in front today.

5 Osage Sccj Stables Luzzi L J 122 —

Here we are again, behind Piatt in the Sweet Life and if front of her in the Soaring Softly. I have literally no idea how all these fillies will finish today going on past performance. It really is just about picking whose turn it is today. The draw is against this one so maybe that is the difference today.

6 Creepy Ruler Mb Stables Alvarado J 122 —

It is a little bit refreshing to find a filly that has very little cross over form although there is one run in the FL Oaks where she beat People Easer. Back to sprinting today after a few disappointing efforts, so with a sprinting record of two from three this may be just what she needs to get back to winning ways.

7 Just Average Mb Stables Prat F 122 —

I just can’t even start with the cross over form here as all of this field have either beaten each other or lost to each other and here is yet another one. A neck behind People Easer in the Soaring Softly and behind Piatt in the Mamzelle but then in front of Piatt in the Soaring Softly and alongside People Easer in the Mamzelle. I think out of all the runners here this one has been the most consistent but who can tell if that translates to her turn to win today?

8 Urban Lights Sheffler Stables Carmouche K 122 —

Finished fourth in the Soaring Softly coming from the back with a good run and that was her first foray into stakes company. An improving filly she maps right up with everything else but does have the car park to contend with which can be a good or bad thing depending on what the race engine does in the race.

SUMMARY

First of all, I am sorry this is probably the most uninformative write up I have ever done. This is pretty much a rerun of about 4 races and in none of them has the order been remotely the same so it is impossible to really sort out who will win today. Good luck to all is all I can say.
